Starfall (Effective Literacy Website 1)

Starfall has been around since 2002 and continues to expand with resources and activities that will help students enjoy learning with multisensory interactive games. Although the main focus is on learning to read, it also includes language arts and math activities.
The website is kid-friendly and divided into three levels: Kindergarten and Pre-K, Grades 1,2,3, and Grades 4,5

There are a wide variety of topics and types of activities. But, let's just focus on literacy.

The "Learn to Read" section is a great took for beginning readers. The children are able to go back and forth throughout the book. Children are able to read on their own, but there is also an audio button they could press if they would like the page to be read to them. Also, each word has the option to click on the word so that it could be broken down and blended for the child. The books each have a target sound with interactive animation on each page that helps to keep the children engaged and interested.
If that isn't enough, there are also interactive activities aligned to each book to help reinforce the target skills for the books.
Luckily, this section is accessible without having to pay for membership. However, if you are interested in exploring the website further, the image below shows the different options and please feel free to let me know your thoughts on everything else this website has to offer.

The website has a store where adults could purchase books, instructional kits, and other resources. There is also a Parent-Teacher Center that includes worksheets and other tools to help teach skills outside of the interactive games and activities on the website.

As an extension to the Starfall website, the Starfall Education Foundation also has a YouTube channel that includes some videos that could be found on the website.
